Tiger's Voyage

(So, I'm going to take a wild guess here and say the left cover is for US and the right cover is UK. Please correct me if I'm wrong. US cover was revealed today via B&N.com)
Book/Series:
This is the 3rd book in The Tiger's Saga.
What I like:
Both covers are very pretty! The dragon on the US cover gives it a majestic look, very magical and appropriate to the story. Ren and Kishan look powerful and magnificent, on the UK version. It looks as though their about to start an ancient battle, I love it! Goes perfectly with the series, since both brothers are fighting for Kelsey's affection.
US or UK?:
Personally I prefer the UK cover over the US version. I don't know why, but I'm not feeling the dragon. The previous two books in the series had beautiful covers, both of which included a tiger. Why the sudden change?! I mean, I know the dragon will probably have a significant role in book 3, but I would have preferred a US cover similar to that of the UK.
What do you think? Let me know :)
Yeah, not quite feeling the US cover, either. I love tigers, and the first two covers look great. But frankly, this dragon just doesn't look good. I thought it was a goat with horns at first. DX

The tigers!!! Just because I love them... unless the dragon is going to turn out to be more of a stud then Ren, I pick the tigers.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, because the UK covers never have NYTimes Best Seller (I think that doesn't quite mean much in England)

I like it that the overall cover matches the US covers of the first two books in the series, but I agree that I'd rather have a tiger be on the cover of the third book instead of the dragon. The dragon is cool, but the tigers were gorgeous.,
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the right. The font is PERFECT [even though I haven't read any of the books in the series]. The font says so much about where the book takes place, to me. Plus, I have a love of tigers, pure and simple. The other looks like a weird snake. I'm not diggin' it.

I kinda like the UK version better... But the US version is pretty cool too, it has this regal feel to it. Whereas, the UK is just raw and epic!

I totally agree! I don`t like the cover for this book, I like the cover but to me if you are looking for a book that goes with the series and you don`t have the internet, this book isn`t going to jump at you and say I am The Tiger`s Voyage! I love the stories though, they are beautiful and very adventurous. I will definately be buying this one in Nov. It is her old cover on the right, I wish they would have tied the tiger`s into the dragon cover better. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThe US covers are BEYOND GORGEOUS. I have the HB of Tiger's Curse and I definitely need the others to complete the beauty. BTW I'm glad to see you liked Tiger's Curse - its moving up my list!
ReplyDeletei have the us cover and it's pretty embarassing compared to the first two i normally take off the cover when i read it in public but the uk version *lets out long whistle* thats what im talking 'bout the two tigers fighting each other is perfect considering through out the whole book they are constanly at battle for kelsey which i dont get i mean she's great and all but i find it hard to believe they would BOTH fall for her i love the whole love triangle thing but really. any way the cover(uk of coruse) is magical i feel like gonna to the uk just so i can STARE at it . Gah i sure a creep
