Question of the week: Have you ever looked at book's cover and thought, This is going to horrible? But, was instead pleasantly surprised? Show us the cover and tell us about the book.

OMG, yesss! Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles!... I remember a blogging bud recommened the book and when I saw the cover I thought, "Thisss is the book everyone is going wild about? Doesn't look very good to me...!" ....SO WRONG!

Boy, was I kicking my own ass for not having read it sooner once I finished it. I LOVED this book. As I would say when I was a child, "I want to marry this book and have it's babies"

If you haven't read it, you are seriously missing out! You can read my review for it here.

What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though - she leads them as the captain and quarterback on her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there's a new guy in town who threatens her starring position on the team... and has her suddenly wishing to be seen as more than just a teammate. -summary from goodreads.com

Can I begin by saying how much I enjoyed this book?! I devoured it. This is a story based on so much more than just a sporty romance, and I’m so glad I didn’t let my non-football attitude stop me from picking it up! Meet Jordan, Senior quarterback of her high school football team. Although her father disapproves, she is determined on getting a scholarship to play college football. She’s passionate about the sport even though most perceive it to be a boys game. She stands up for herself and doesn’t let others compromise her dreams. (woo whoo! You go girl!)…. Jordans weakness; she doesn’t notice boys the same way other girls do….

This story is not just about Jordan’s love life, it also touches base with her rocky relationship with her father. I understand that he’s just worried about her and doesn’t want her to get hurt, but there were certain scenes in the book where I wanted to smack some sense into him. He was totally being sexist. It’s bad enough that Jordan had to deal with peer pressure, slander, and other not so pleasant things; only to come home and be ridiculed by her father.

Umm.. can I have my own Sam Henry? Jordan's best friend and teammate Sam Henry, was fabulous. He was selfless, sweet, hot and smart. I thought it was the cutest thing how he would spend the night and sleep in the same bed with Jordan… not THAT kind of sleep, the real sleep. I’ll admit, I was totally Team Ty in the beginning, but as the story went on I could feel Jordan loosing interest and so did I.
